How did you meet? and how long were you a couple before you got married?
We met in early August of 2018 while I (Casey) was in ocean city for my sister’s bachelorette party. I met Nick the first night at fagers, we hit it off, and he spent the weekend hanging out with me and our whole party. I soon after invited him to be my date to my sisters wedding at the end of the month which he said yes. The day after the wedding he asked me to be his girlfriend and we’ve been together ever since! We got engaged in March 2021 and married June 2022.
What are your favorite things about each other?
Casey – my favorite thing about nick is his big heart. He is fiercely loyal and treats his loved ones like gold. I will never get tired of how he can always manage to make a friend no matter where we go.
Nick – my favorite thing about Casey is her positive and fun outlook on life and her beautiful smile that can put me in the best mood no matter the circumstance.
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Casey- my most memorable part of our wedding day was the first looks with my dad and then nick. I will always treasure those moments
Nick- watching my gorgeous bride walk down the aisle as I cried like a baby knowing that was who I am spending forever with.
What was most unique about your wedding?
I think we both can agree that the dance floor at our wedding was top notch. We told DJ Wax to make it like a fagers deck party and he did not disappoint!
What were your wedding colors and themes?
Our wedding colors were eucalyptus/sage green, cream, and hints of navy. I would say our theme was rustic chic.
Is there anything about your day that you wish you would have done differently?
Casey – One thing I’ve seen other brides do to keep getting ready on time is make an order that everyone will get hair/ make up done in. We ended up being behind schedule for a bit because it was volunteer basis. Everything still worked out great but just something to avoid any timetable stress!
Nick – I wish I could go back and stress less because everything worked out beautifully with the help of our team.
What were the favorite moments for your guests? What feedback did you hear most from your guests?
Our guests LOVED Odin the beer pony! We got so many compliments on how unique the idea is to have him at cocktail hour.
Please tell us about the food and service at your reception.
We used Waterman’s catering and everyone was so lovely! The service overall at Castle Farm is amazing! Their whole team is there to make sure you have everything you want on your special day. I can’t overstate how much we loved working with them.
Did you attend an after-party? Where did you spend your wedding night? honeymoon?
We had an after party at The Globe in Berlin. The buses from the venue made a stop there for anyone who wanted to join. We spent the wedding night at our home. We were spoiled for our honeymoon and went to Florida right after the wedding then Portugal in July.
