How did you meet? and how long were you a couple before you got married?
Luke and I met in high school! I transferred in to Worcester prep my freshmen year in 2013. I was invited to a WPS summer party and Luke asked me to be his partner in a game of man hunt! We have been together ever since! So 9 whole years! If you want a more detailed explanation I’ve copied our website link below with “Our story” if you scroll down on the home page 🙂 https://www.zola.com/wedding/madisonandluke
How we met: It was the last day of 8th grade. Madison and her twin sister, Olivia, were invited to Worcester Prep’s 8th grade end-of-year pool party because they were soon transferring to the school. Since Luke had attended Worcester Prep since pre-school, he too was of course on the guest list. Luke introduced himself to Madison by showing off his impressive cannonball skills. This led to a partnership in the class game of “Manhunt”…and then the texting relationship began.
How we started dating: Once school began, the flirting continued, but the relationship never became official. They had every class together freshman year and talked constantly. Finally in March 2013, Luke invited Madison over to his house to hang out. While jumping on the trampoline together, Luke asked Madison to officially become his girlfriend. They then spent the rest of high school sharing many milestones together: cheering on the other’s sports, studying together, delivering each other coffee in the morning, getting their licenses, being crowned Homecoming/Prom king and queen, and much more.
What are your favorite things about each other?
Luke and I met so young. So one of my favorite things about us is that we’ve been able to grow together. We’ve learned together and gone through almost everything together. We make each other laugh like no other. We are probably the funniest people ever when we join forces together. He is my best friend, and I am his. I couldn’t imagine not having him by my side. He gets me and I get him. We love all the same shows. We love the beach. We love being active together. We love traveling. We try new things together, even if we are scared to. We are there for each other when we are stressed or overwhelmed and we have learned and have continued to learn how to be each other’s biggest support system and fans. It’s the best feeling in the world to find your absolute best friend and know they love you endlessly.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
The whole day was absolutely amazing! It’s hard to decide! I think I’ll narrow it down to my top 4! To start off the most magical day ever was having everyone we loved and who love us in the beautiful forest watching us exchange our personal vows. I loved having everyone experience that moment with us. Once we exchanged our vows and kissed our loved ones all threw confetti in the air and it was THE MOST special moment of my life.
Then as we lined up to walk into the reception it was so amazing seeing all my people in one place. All the grandparents, parents, bridesmaids, and groomsmen were announced and had THE best dances to come into the reception. My maid of honor and Luke’s Bestman had an amazing walk in and he flipped it and they popped confetti! The crowd went wild! Luke and I then were announced and we had our first dance and it was to Yellow by Coldplay. I really loved that we had everyone join us during the song. It was so special.
We then went into the Father-Daughter Dance and Mother-Son Dance. My Dad and I had practiced a routine and it was beautiful! I was so lucky my mom and Luke’s mom surprised us with slideshows that were being projected on top of the tent while we danced. It showed pictures and videos of us throughout the years. There wasn’t a dry eye in the tent!
Lastly, I truly will always remember Luke and I left the tent at the end of the night. We had a final dance by ourselves and then had a sparkler exit! We walked all the way back to the bridal suite and said bye to everyone through the amazingly huge window! Everyone loved it! Luke and I were doing funny dance moves up there and waving at everyone. iI was yet another unique thing we were able to do on our day.
What was most unique about your wedding?
There were so many details Luke and I included that made our day so so special. Writing our own vows, confetti being thrown after we kissed, leaving the ceremony following a jazz band with them performing “when the saints go marching in”, having personalized drinks named after our dogs Hershey and Piper, having the beer pony walk around at cocktail hour, personalized converse with our wedding date on them, a white bounce house, a photo booth trailer, the Burley beer truck, a cigar bar with personalized cigars, and soooooo much more! I think one of my favorite things though was the picture and video slide shows that played on the tent during my Father-Daughter Dance and Luke’s Mother-Son Dance. It was so unique and was so perfect to bring back all those memories of our life.
What were your wedding colors and themes? Who was your wedding planner? Did you use a rental company? Please describe your decor and florals. Who was your florist?
Our wedding colors were light pink and yellow. My bridesmaids wore beautiful blush pink dresses and the groomsmen wore blush pink bow ties with dark blue suits. We had a beautiful array of light pink, light yellow, and white flowers. I wanted to incorporate sunflowers in an elegant way since they are a bold flower but they are MY favorite!
Is there anything about your day that you wish you would have done differently?
The only thing I would’ve wished I did differently was maybe having the ceremony earlier that way we could have more time celebrating lol! I never wanted to leave! We did have the busses come slightly late so the ceremony started at 4ish instead of 3:30pm! But everything else was so perfect!!

What were the favorite moments for your guests? What feedback did you hear most from your guests?
I received numerous compliments about the champagne and charcuterie cup wall! They loved walking through the forest and being instantly greeted by food and drinks ready to be served. I also had people tell me they LOVED Odin the beer pony! It was something most if not all of my guests had never seen before! They loved the band at cocktail hour and the indoor barn serving area! I also hear from our guests they LOVED the photobooth and burley beer truck. They said it was so fun and looked so cool on the property. My guest also loved the DJ and the music he played! He was so funny and kept the party going!
Who was your caterer? Please tell us about the food and service at your reception.
Taste Events. It was amazing! The appetizers were terrific during cocktail hour! We had pulled pork sandwiches, sliders, a cheese board, crab dip, and more!! We had Steak, Chicken, and Mahi (with vegan and vegetarian options). As a side, we had mac & cheese (my personal favorite food). It was soooo good! They brought everyone’s food out in a timely manner and the food was hot for everyone! All my guests RAVED about it!

Did you attend an after-party? Where did you spend your wedding night? honeymoon?
After the reception, we took the busses back to Park Place Hotel! People were able to head to their room and change or call it a night! We then walked down the boardwalk and had an after-party at Shenanigans! It was so much fun! Luke and then went back to Park Place and spent the night in an ocean-side suite! We woke up early and had a farewell brunch at the Buas House!
Luke and I then took a limo to the Washington D.C. airport where we hopped on a plane to Marseille, France! We started our 10-day European cruise on Tuesday! We stopped in Portofino, Barcelona, Portugal, Morocco, and Malaga!
